xcalibrater

i installed a xcalibrater by sct[ superchip custom tuning] on my 97 v8 sho and all i can say is this is the best mod ever!! this program comes with the choice of 3 settings 87,91,93 octane and it removed the rev limiter and increased tranny line pressure[ kick arss shifts!] and increased shift points and advanced timing and a few other things.. ?????? question is there a ecu flash device for the maxima that will do this??? this was the best $370 ive ever spent on my mods for my cars... and if i get another ford i can send calibrater back ang get a program installed on it for any ford i ever own... meaning i have a lifetime access to the software.... this rules... this would do wonders for us autotragics.

i have never heard of that product but there is not one for the maxima. the only ecu updates worth a flip are the technosquares. however, they do have a program for 00. only manual 01 and the 3.5 motor last time i checked. you can check out their site at technosquareinc.com this flash to your existing ecu or spare however does not change any transmission settings. any changes to shifting would have to go through the transmission control module (tcm).

There is a product called UNICHIP that is supposed to be coming out for our cars that goes in line before the ECU. It's supposed to intercept signals from all the sensors and allow you to dyno tune the settings. It is already out, but our car hasn't been done yet. Supposedly, the guy making this product has been paying attention to a lot of cars that are popular to mod out. I heard this at a speed shop while conversing with the owner, and he was telling me about this mod.
