Help/tips for changing rear o2 sensors

I have the diagram for the o2 sensors and need to change them for code PO158.

I am trying to decide to do it myself or take it to the dealer for the ECU reprogram and new sensors, as per the TSB. However, I'd rather just change the sensors myself and only take it in if the code comes back.

QUESTIONS:

1. How do you get these sensors off? (what tools do I use?)

2. I can see and easily access the Bank 1 rear sensor, but the Bank 2 rear sensor is not visable. On the diagram it points up and is on top of the pipe. How do I get to it? (I don't have any ramps)

Any suggestions would be a great help!

I had to replace the o2 bank 2 sensor and it was very difficult. We tried to get it off with an o2 socket and all it did was strip the gears in the socket wrench. After abotu 2 of those we just took the whole pipe off. All in all we just ended up using the dremel to get it off. I dunno how much time you want to spend on it but you can do it yourself it just takes time. Also, we didn't have ramps we just used a jack to jack it up. Sorry if this isn't much help.

wheni installed my exhaust, one of the piping after the catalytic conv. had to be removed and thats where one of the sensors were....well i didtn know what to do to get it off cuz i didnt know if it was welded or just screwed in. with the help of a regular cres. wrench it came loose.....but be ready to give a really really BIG pull/push to get it loose. thats the worst part of gettin it off, if you dont grip it hard enough itll strip...and if you dont push/pull hard enough it wont turn. after the first HARD push/pull itll move and then itll be easy to twist off of the piping.you should be able to do it, i did it only on with my regular 2ton jack. try it, if you cant do it then just take it to the dealer

Thanks. Sounds like too much trouble for me especially since I can't easily see one the rear sensors. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.
