Pipes and Chips

App: 2002 Maxima SE 6

First, What do you think of DynoJet machines, and the ability of a custom tune shop to be able to use it to adjust your A/F and such via a programmable piggy back module that is cut into FI lines and manifold vs. JET or JWT mail order chips.

Second I am planning on purchasing a Warpspeed Y Pipe and Frankencar 2.5 cat back. Has anyone had any experience with this setup?

Only want to do this stuff once

Thanks

Welcome, since you're new actually you could check the stickies and search for threads on chip questions, which like lontar said havent appeared to do anything for our cars. also go through all the FAQ's and hopefully that might answer some question you'll have in the future. Also, as far as i know everyone who's had the warpspeed y pipe and the frankencar cat back are happy with it however sometimes the waiting period for delivery has been an issue. best of luck!

MadMax...just to give some friendly pieces of advice:

1. look up in the stickies at the top in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section and you will find links to long, long, long threads on these subjects
2. when asking about one thing, just ask about that one thing....don't combine questions, otherwise you'll get a billion answers going off on a billion tangents related to chips, y-pipes, frankencar customer service, warpspeed shipping, ebay and everything else.
3. not sure how much you've looked around so far since you're new here, but browse back a few days, and you'll be SURE to find a thread on all of these subjects.

as to what you're asking, here's my short answers....do the above steps to find better detail:
-chips: they all suck, waste of $$
-tuning: not useful unless you are heavily modded, and waste of $$
-WS y-pipe: many use them....a few small issues, but generally ok.
-FC catback: many use them....kind of heavy, sometimes slow shipping, beautiful looks, mellow (quiet) sound. Not a "ricer" exhaust, they are not loud at all.
