RSB without FTSB?
RSB without FTSB?
I want as much handling as possible with as little comfort loss as possible. I have a RSB right now that I haven't installed yet, but everyone I've talked to says I should get a FTSB too. Opinions?
You can get one, but its really not necessary. I didn't feel much of a difference when I installed my FTSB, and I've heard that the RSB makes a pretty big difference in handling. Plus, you can get a FTSB off ebay for like 30 bucks.
get both. since the ftsb is cheap and provides some handling benefits its a no brainer. under emergency manuevers i think both are worth much more than their cost.
for example - on the highway this weekend i was doing about 70mph and had to brake hard and swerve to avoid a piece of truck tire in the middle of the road. the car kept it's composure perfectly after the correction. i don't think a completely stock max would've dealt with that situation as confidently.

i have the FSTB and RSB. i never drove the car with just the RSB on, but i didnt want to overcompensate on the rear, and have nothing on the front, it just felt more comfortable doing both.

i also want to note, when i installed mine i put mine on upside down lol. it's actually hard to notice, but someone pointed it out for me ahaha. When I rotate my tires in a week or two I'll fix it, I need to flip it and slide it back towards the rear a few inches, the way it's set right now gives the max oversteer (unbelievable huh). Supposed to be exaggerated even more if I had stiffer springs. still handles 100000000000000x better than stock, that's why i would have never known i put it on wrong unless Andy pointed it out.
See here this might help:

Btw, I forgot to add that the FSTB does help so a certain degree... it has firmed up the front considerably when taking long sweeping turns like off ramps and such at relatively high speeds.
I just put my fstb on and noticed that i can keep the wheel turn when before it would start to drift to the outside, i am pleased. how much are the rsb i haven't really looked into it
You can probably go on E-bay and grab a FSTB for like $40. I'd do both, although it is not necessary to do both. I did notice that the front end seemed better with the addition of the FSTB, but the biggest difference was in the RSB. It is night and day compared to stock.
One thing to add - from comments on the board, an RSB only can switch your car handling to oversteer. Adding the FSTB too shifts it back toward neutral.
Can't attest to the former, but I will say with the Cattmann RSB adjusted for max effect, and an RSB, the handling on my car is effectively neutral. On the test drive after installing both, went into a 90 degree turn at about twice the speed limit - and found an oncoming car cutting the corner into my lane (yike!). Tightening the turn way more than expected sent the Max into just a slight four wheel drift, making the turn with no problem. Your mileage may vary...

I have both. I installed the rear sway bar first, and felt a noticeable difference. A few weeks later, I installed the front strut bar. I did feel a slight bit of difference, but not major. Steering response was better. Both are good mods to perform, and I guess the benefits are relative to the cost. BOTH mods are not necessary, but both are cost effective ways to improve your suspension set up. Just my .02

^^ supposed to improve handling more than shocks/springs. struts are more of a ride quality/looks thing, of course stiffer springs improve handling no matter what
