Son of a b!tch! Man I m pissed. Only been two freakin weeks, and I already hit a curb! I am ripping mad right now.

The damage is not too bad; I was only going 1-3mph when it happened. I was parallel parking last night, and I wanted to get as close to the curb as possible since there was parking on both sides of the street, and I was nervous of a car hitting my car by trying to fit.

I was creaping along keeping a good eye on my mirror... I look up to see the front of my car, and scraaaaaaape! The wheel digs into the curb. MOTHER F'ER! I was so mad I wanted to scream. I fixed my parking job, got out, and sure enough, damaged rim, and tire. It is scraped, but not too bad... but still scraped.

Now every time I look at the rim anger just builds up inside... knowing it was my entire fault. Good thing I was parking to go to a party, I needed a few drinks after that one.

Ok, I am done now.

There are some auto body shops that have a specialty in wheels. Show us some pics of the damage, there is a possibility that with enough money spent you can get it fixed.

Most wheel repair places will charge about $100 for curb rash here.

If the curb rash is on the lip, you will be able to fix it yourself if you have the patience.

save your money......
give it a couple of weeks and you won't even notice the curb rash. The first time I scraped my factory rims I was hopping mad but after a while you kind of forget about it. Its not usually noticeable to anyone but you anyway. You can get it fixed but eventually it will happen again. Save the money for upgrades instead.

Every time you wash/detail the car you will be reminded. I'm sure it will **** him off over and over again. Two of OE rims are scratched to hell but I don't treat my car with the respect it deserves.

I did almost the same thing last year. i was going to a friends party and I was lost (he just moved) and I cut a corner to close and nailed the curb.

the funny thing is my GF was driving my car two days before and put a small scratch in the same rim trying to park, and I almost killed her. Then like an dumba** i put a HUGE scratch right over hers. She was smart enough to wait about week to make fun of me for it.

either way i spent the entire time at the party on my friends computer looking for places to fix my rim. now another one is scratched bad as well. i had to cut into a curb to avoid being hit my an old a** lady in a huge caddy.

is there anything i can use to fill in deep scratches, then sand it down and repaint the rims?

if you are talking to me, i did look at the link. however, the scratches are pretty deep, there is no way I can sand them down. I would need some thing to fill them in, then sand and paint.

that was the link he was referring to. I'm a regular at the dtmpower.net forums and this link has been posted there as well. Dunno if its original to that board but i know several people have had success. Just take your time and make sure you get the right color paint. Perhaps do it on a piece of cardboard or wood with the bondo and paint and compare it with the rim before you do it. Nothing looks worse that mismatched paint repairs. Good luck and post the results.

I know how you feel Chris, I found a tiny dent in one of mine a few days after I put them on and got all pissed off. I bet you wouldn't notice it if I didnt point it out, but I can see it every time I look at it. Whenever I'm parking near a curb, I angle my side mirror down so I can see how close I'm getting but still park about a foot away from it! hahaha... Be careful bro!

I had the same thing happen a couple of months after I got my wheels. Went to the drive-through ATM and scrapped my front wheel. I was about to get out and rip that place apart.

You know that's what also happened to me, only I was just backing up, not parallel parking. I was doing about the same speed and watching my mirror very good, but still scrapppppp. Was very upset when happened, but the damage is luckily minor. You know guys that's what happen to all when people are affraid too much to damege their new things. The more you're affraid the more of a chance there would be to damage it, that's what I learned from my own experience and from others.
