in dash dvd set up...step inside

im looking to get an indash dvd player, and since the electronics forum wasnt very helpful in answering some question maybe ill have better luck here.

what else will i need besides the unit to make the set up work with my bose system, with my speakers basically. is it going to sound like shiit if i dont change the speakers?

should i go for an in dash screen and add a ps2 or just get the unit that plays dvds, cds, etc

these are the two ive been looking at:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/SONXAVA1
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PANCQVD7500U

please give some suggestions on units and where to buy. please post pics or some linx to your sites. T H A N X !

Personally, I like the Eclipse AVN...but they might be out of your price range.

And i believe it should around fine with the head unit, you might need an adapter since I believe the speakers have difference impedances than typical speakers.

ive been hearing lately that you cant bypass the safety thing on the Avic-N2, so that means no movies playing while driving (which you shouldnt do anyway ). i would check with Don, cuz im not 100% sure at all, but thats what im hearing.

Don't bump threads that are dead. The 4000 will fit, you'll either need the Scosche dash kit (slightly modified) or a GXE Maxima dash kit. The former is $20, while the latter is about $140. You decide. It was an easy decision for me. You would then need the Metra 70-7551 Bose integration harness to keep your Bose speakers. And a steering wheel controls interface if you want to retain that feature.
