Modding and saving money?

As of right now... I have a custom CAI for performance... btw, i have a 00 auto gle... it has 129k, figure... I've noticed when im crusing at about 65-70 and I floor it, the car picks up realllll slow, the RPMs jump to late 5's-early 6's, but it doesnt really move as much... anything I can to fix that?

alright well other then that... for underrrr $300, what can I throw in besides the CAI?... performance wise, not suspension, exterior, or interior...

ehhh real confused on what to get!!

y-pipe, it will give you about 15hp (i think) it will also allow you to get the full effect of your CAI. right now you have the ability to get air in but not out, so the intake isnt nearly as good as it could be. warpspeed, cattmann & stillen (there is one more i just cant think of it right now) all make y-pipes to fit our cars.

Not to be picky or anything, but suspension mods are performance mods too... they improve the handling performance... performance isn't all about HP...

Anyways... you want hp it sounds... so just get a y-pipe and you should get another 12 whp or so...

130k miles is a considerable amount. Have you done a tune-up? Have you cleaned the fuel system (throttle body, filter) lately? Seems like the acceleration should be better than you're describing even before mods.
