Pocket on top or bottom??
I'm installing the kenwood KVT-915DVD in my max this month. I was considering putting it in with the pocket above so that the screen isn't so high up when opened. Has anyone installed a screen like this? How does it look?

no...tis wrong...he means that when the screen flips out, he doesn't want it to block the vents......it's a 915DVD...that's a flip out screen unit.
anywho, the audio forum will tell you that the bottom is where you should put it,but i think that's the dumbest thing. if i have stuff in the pocket that i need to take out, i'm gonna have to close the screen. but then you bring up the "covering vents"....i personally could give 2 ***** about covering my vents.

Covering my vents really isn't the issue for me. I really just don't want my screen comin up so high. I don't ever put anything in my pocket now beside the remote when I get out the car. Plus the screen has a pretty quick flip down feature so it would be nothing to get behind it. I actully wouldn't mind it being on top if I could close off that pocket like in the above picture. I hate the pocket. I know awhile back someone on here had done their Clarion screen w/ the pocket on top, but I can't find the thread.

You can do away with the pocket all together and get a double din unit like the eclipse avn....
Too bad you already have the Kenwood unit...but I think putting the unit in the lower spot would look better since it doesn't cover up the vents...

i used to have my kvt 911dvd on the bottom, and now i moved it to the top.. the viewing angle is alot better when it's higher up. and it won't cover anything when the screen is up if you add anymore electronic displays.
