into the 5th gen. I have heard from all that it connects in the 4th gen near the fusebox, but on the 5th gen the connector near the fusebox to the right is too big does it connect to the ECU?

Call the local dealer and ask them where the COnsult port is for the 5th generation Max. It should be under the steering wheel column
