Frankencar, Cattmann or other?

I installed a y-pipe, straight pipe and a greddy evo exhaust and i loved it for about a year only problem is that my Baby boy has trouble sleeping when he rides with me. So I'm looking for something quiet under normal driving but something that roars when i floor it. All things being equal I basicly want the performance so I can still whip these little rice burners and quietness so little man can sleep peacefully. Thanks for any info that you may have.
BTW the EVO will be going up for sale

Honestly, any catback/ypipe combo is going to make more noise than you are probably looking for, but if I had to choose one for least obnoxious, I would go with the Cattman. Plus, you just can't beat Cattman's quality. There are tons of options, but that would be my choice.

try out the cattman bpipe with the stock muffler....or the frankencar catback...heard they are both quiet as hell....with the frankencar catback being a lil bit louder than the stock 5th gen muffler+bpipe setup

If you are going to keep the y-pipe then i say install a new b-pipe(what ever brand you want) and the stock muffler. I have a powertech muffler and it drowns a little so definately dont go with them but the best sounding/quitest one i have heard has got be frankercars setup. You could just keep the greddy b-pipe and but the 5th gen muffler on and buy some new tips for it. That would be super cheap and should be very easy to install once you get the tips welded on.

You all ready have a B-pipe from the greddy and the maxima muffler is already a high flow muffler so if u use the greddy b-pipe and the maxima muffler you may only loose 1-2 hp (on a cold day) over a catback exhaust. The only thing that really help our exhaust is y-pipe/headers and getting rid of the crimped section of piping on our b-pipe. since you all ready have a b-pipe(aftermarket), a y-pipe(aftermarket) and a high flow muffler(OEM), you dont really need anything else. Anyways if you dont believe then just look at the specs of the maxima muffler. It has been designed so that at idle or regular load it will only have one pipe open for exhaust output. At full load it wil come alive by allowing both pipes to to open. This muffler is a really great design for a quiet ride. I like to blip the throttle to let people know i am coming and that is why i have a powertech.

I'm not sure if the stock muffler will bolt up to the GReddy b-pipe and fit right... but I could be wrong.... not all parts are interchangeable... I know for a fact that the GReddy and OBX b-pipes do not work with a Frankencar rear section....

I have a Cattman y-pipe (but I took it off temporarily) and the Frankencar cat-back... it is quiet... quiet enough for sleeping kids... the Frankencar b-pipe and muffler have great sound dampening and you can barely hear it. Best of all, there is NO drone in the cabin whatsoever; I used to have a GReddy and I know how loud that is under 2500 rpms. All the "noise" now comes from the y-pipe (I know now because I have a direct comparison with the stock y-pipe back in), even then, the incremental volume from the y-pipe is hardly noticeable, in fact, my intake is the loudest thing there when I'm driving.

I can vouch for Franken. I had OBX full catback, then took the rear off the OBX and welded on a Magnaflow (Mistake). The drone on those were unbareable, and I am not a sleeping kid.

Having heard the franken with headers from Cubanato I would say go with the Franken. I have read many posts where people said their Cattman still produced some drone even without a Y-pipe. I have kids, I know what you are going through with the whole 'car ride' scenerio, if it were my money I think I would throw a Franken back there and call it a day.
