Two Questions!!!

I know I'll get beat down for asking this, but I really did search and could not find answers. Can you advance the timing in a 2002. If so how is it done an what does it really do for me?

The second question is does anyone have any rust on a 5.5 gen? I found a spot on the inside of my trunk by the latch. As far as I know we have 5 year coverage against rust and corrosion, so I'm gonna try the dealer to get it repaired. Has anyone had to do this???

P.S.- Let me add this before everyone else does...

i just had the timing advance done and it is pretty nice, the power is not what i would call overly noticable, but the fuel mileage did increase slightly.

i have a 2001 and i have a small rust spot on the door, i asked the dealer and they said the rust coverage in the factory warranty is only for perforation (all teh way through the panel) but the guy said alot of the extended warranties have surface rust coverage
