Yo, Burner, how about taming that "sig-gone-wild", there. Maybe reduce the font to Kev's size? (not the size of Kev, but the size of the font in his sig)

Typical mods saving their fetid users from the truth. Ok boys I'm outta here go on believing that your car is faster. If anyone wants to track it and prove it refer to the post that you gay mods closed where I was simply trying to call out a trashtalker.

Late.

I can't play nice, thus I am a retard... this is what I look like because I made fun of the moderators:

At the risk of getting flamed myself . . .

I say, let the flamers flame on. They're more to be pitied than censored.

As always, the best way to get rid of flamers, racial bigots, and the like is to simply ignore them. Responding to them or deleting their posts reduces us to their level.

Just a thought.

Yeah, in theory ignoring them will work, but I've learned that someone's bound to get ticked and reply to the flamer's post. I have never deleted anyone's post so far, but have edited a flamer's post once... check the first page to see.

Such is human nature, of course. Somebody always has to take the bait. They simply lack the maturity to prevent themselves from making a knee-jerk reaction. Little do they realize that they're their own worst enemies.

Well do what you have to do, Kev.

My Idiot-Threashold-Meter is usually set pretty high but there are times when that (Greg) Focker gets pegged and I just HAVE to tee off. Of course, I re-read my post at least 4 or 5 times in order to vent a little and make sure it's worded so they won't possibly have a comeback.

Reminds me of a pic I saw up at punkdork's site...

"How 'bout a nice warm cup of shut the fuc# up!" That should be your sig pic, punkdork. Classic!

I don't have a problem if another enthusiast come here and discuss the topic in a more "grown up" manner. And not, "I can smoke you...blah blah blah...my car is better than your car...your Maxima is meant to be raced...blah blah." If you guys remember when we had the heated GTP discussion, there were actually a few GTP guys that were quite friendly to talk to. Unfortunately, this time, we didn't have such luck with the CL-S case. They obviously looked down on us just because we have a Maxima. Especially, the guy who said that the Maxima isn't meant to be raced because of its look...blah blah blah. He said he used to have a J30 and now he has a CL-S. I guess suddenly, he think he's all that, huh?

Oh well...I'm glad that topic is closed. If we can't discuss a topic in a more friendly manner, then we shouldn't discuss it at all. After all, what's with all the bickering? We are all car enthusiasts after all.

I agree cumalot,(dude..I don't know if I like writing your name) it sure is a good time to get people worked up, but there is no reason to be mean about anything. Racing and talkin sh*t as a car enthusiast, is part of the fun of picking a team to play for. I could have just as easily played for another team( Not a Seinfeld reference) . You make the choice, or buy the car that you like , then you get to talk a little crap. But it should always be fun first, not mean. If someone makes it nasty, wheres the fun, forget about it and enjoy yourself. Don't let the "man" bring you down.

the CL-S guys...

...came looking for a fight. Even the first one who proclaimed to be "friendly" was full of it. You could tell quite easily that his tone was rather hostile and condescending, and that he viewed the Maxima as a "lower life form" or whatever. I skimmed through the rest of that thread and I'll vouch for you Max guys - you're not the aholes - the Acura guys are.

I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks talking about my Accord here and there and **not once** have I been flamed, treated rudely or harshly. You've all been very polite, warm, professional, and very friendly. If anything I'd say you guys are all more civil, mature, and behaved than the average SHO Accord V6 forum member, but that's likely due to differences in average ages. Most of our members are in their late teens or early 20's (I'm 23) with a few guys that are older, but I think most of you are at least my age if not older, with maybe only very few "student" members.

But anyways...enough demographics. You guys are all a nice bunch of people, so don't let any trash-talking arrogant SOB Acura drivers tell you different, k?
