Do you have any better front profile pics, it looks like your rims are sticking out pretty far.

Why are you rolling stretched tires?????? Drifting much????

I think it's all for looks. With a tire stretched that much, I would be worried of the tire breaking from its beads during hard cornering. With the wheel setup without spacers, 245s and wider tires can be used, without rubbing.

Thats pretty much it. I have been hanging around my 240 friends too much and they run some seriously low offset, negative camber, and tires which are stretched farther than mine. Tire bead popping from the rim is not a concern for me because I do not drive aggressively to begin with. My friends drift all the time and they have not had a tire come off on them.

Why do you stretch the tires like that? How do they stick to the rim?

Thanks!

Why do you stretch the tires like that? How do they stick to the rim?
Mine are stretched because I bought them like that. If I buy new tires, I will by the same size - primarily for looks (I like how it looks in the 240 and VW crowd). Here is a link on stretched tires for more information:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2234638

I have zero clue how they stick to the rim. I know the beads are still attached and I know that if you get too thin a tire, there will be air leaks.

Car looks good sooner!!! I can't wait for the weather to break next week in the 50's so I can do my initial spring cleanup on my 01 pearl max...I have washed it frequently this winter and car still looks new...It does however have the small "rust dots" I get every year on the trunk face and body but easily comes off with a little clay bar.. By the way where is your Otto FSTB in the pictures? Did you take it off??? I just ordered my Berk from Bryan and looking forward to installing soon.. I was pleasantlly suprised to see my quote in your pictures about respecting your opinion on the org.. You and Irish and a few others are the ones I respect the most...Paul
