hey everyone heres the story im pulling into a parking lot at school and i park my car in reverse and when i throw it into park my friend asks whats that funky smell when i look at my hood mad smoke is coming out so i shut the car off and open the hood and a blast of smoke flies out and it smells like burnt rubber i go to try and start it again and now it wont start. Anyone know whats going on smoke was coming from under the engine but no check engine light came on and temp of car was normal.

 

Something similar happened on my first car. My negative battery cable fell against my exhause manifold and grounded our my car killing it. Could be something similar, you're probably smelling a hose, vaccum line, etc...
