**Confused**

Ok Im a little upset due to the fact that a 2000 GLE that looked stock walked away from me top end. I'm thinkin either two things could of caused this:

1) This CHICK has mods that I didnt know about...I couldnt stop to ask it was on the highway

or 2) My 2k4 OEM wheels and tires are slowing me down

Needless to say that was the most embarrassing moment with my max

Unless you are modded, why are you so surprised? The 3.5 outshines the 3.0 on bottom end no doubt, but up top with a few bolt ons I am sure a 3.0 can hang no problem

Haha, welcome back to reality. There's not a chance in hell that a pre-2k2 Maxima will beat a 2k2 or 2k3. The only way, I see this as even being remotely possible, is if the 3.5l was an auto and the 3.0 was a stick. Obviuosly, if the 3.0l has mods that would defiently help. Now, I maybe wrong, but I have owned both a 2k1 and now my 2k3 and I can tell you that there's no comparision between the 2 yrs. Speed from start to finish is way better in my 2k3. Anyway, not trying to be an ***, but it's just my 2 cents.

That's a contributing factor to you probably losing. Windows down just makes your cabin one huge parachute that slows down the car.

yea thank for all the input let me tell you being owned SUX!! I dont think its my tranny slipping I had that happen on an old car of mine, it could of been the windows open or the fact that I downshifted instead of staying in D I dont know but Im hunting down the next 2k I see to try this again...

Pioneer's forest green 5spd max has been known to walk on soem 3.5s in the 1/4 mile. I think he only had a y-pipe, b-pipe, udp, and intake. Granted the 3.5's were auto and stock (i think). He had some vids up when i first joined the .org

Nope ... Auto 5.5g > Auto 5g even if the 5.5g loses, it wont get smoked.

OK, now you understand the whole point and the absolute joy of having a sleeper. She probably belongs to a "killer" board and she just had you for lunch jka

A stock exhaust can hide lots of engine & trany mods.

Reasons why she walked away

1)your system
2)your anchors that you call wheels
3)She probably has a Y pipe (~20hp on 5gens, and undetecable with stock rear section)

Or she could have been driving my car. yes my car is a 2002 GLE however I have changed the tail lights from the stock silver. I enjoy seeing fools creep up on me only to leave them in the dust because they had no idea that I am driving a 2002 with techtonic shift and not a 2000.

i would have just swerved ad sent her into the guard rail, you would have wone then. Just kiddin 2k3. whats funny with my car is i raced a 2k1 max the other day aswell, and ever since i unhooked my battery about 2-3 weeks ago, the car dosent want to down shift when it should. i still pulled on him hard, but the hole shot was not as hard as b4 the battery disconnection.

Few questions:
1. What mods do you have?
2. When was your last tuneup?
3. Was she hot? (lose a race, win a hottie... .)
