High quality brake pads frozen to the rotors after using the parking brake on rainy days. Get better pads or don't use your parking brake on rainy days unless you really need to.

Its an auto, its just starting a little slipping, would 100k 7yr bumper to bumper warranty cover that?

Honestly, it might, I'd check with who the warr is through. Be careful what you tell them is on the car performance wise I am sure they will try every way not to cover it.
Good Luck!!

warranty

Even if you said that the tranny is slipping a little, they probably would say that it's "still good". "slipping a little" would mean that it's fine 90% of the time, right?

As for the noise, is it when you press the brakes after putting in reverse or the instant you put it in reverse?

i have the same exact sound coming out of the back (rear brakes area) when i take off the e-brake...especially after a long time with no use or rainy days...like a big metallic thud right?

Does it sound like a motor, a buzzing sound? For the life of me I can't remember what it is but if it's the sound I'm thinking of, mine does it to and it's perfectly normal. It doesn't do it all the time...or at least I don't notice it all the time. My Prelude used to do the same thing only it did it when just starting to pull forward the first time after you started the car. I think it's a diagnostic thing...something about the ABS??? Anyone??

I just had this strange eerrup as well only in reverse, my rear pads were worn and the warning tabs were only catching in reverse. My pads still had a little beef on them, but the noise was so annoying I changed them. Now everything seems to be fine. Bring it to a brake shop for an inspect, it's free.
