knock sensor

i wanna get a new knock sensor for my 2000 SE, but first i want to know what exactly i stand to gain from this. so any input would be great. not sure if mileage or age of the car is a deciding factor.

i did a search but didn't find any topics pertaining to this, so if it is infact a previously discussed topic, my apologies.

thanks,
dominic

NmexMAX, what the hell did you mean by that? anyway, OH2kblackMAXX, why are you changing your knock sensor? is it bad? you only replace your knock sensor when it goes bad. it usually comes up along side another dtc. you don't gain nothing by replace a good knock sensor even if its bad. its just there to monitor knocking from the engine which is usually caused by, bad gas, engine pinging, etc.
