I FINALLY had the time to install my POP-Charger. (yes, yes, i know it was in my signature before i put it in)

I had a little trouble at first (see pics), the little twisty support thing that came with it was worthless =\
i had my freind twist a custom one for me. the pics should help future buyers.

now, my questions, 1) the sucking in straw sound is normal right? (I expected a growl type sound). 2) it says to clean filter every 50,000 miles. when i do reach that, do i remove the filter, and just clean w/ water? or is it gonna involve buying some kinda replacement filter?

The twisty mounting bracket works fine. Perhaps your tube got twisted when you reinstalled yours. I've used the bracket on my car an circo's.

As far as the growl, that comes at WOT. Sucking sound is normal at idle.

At idle right? Yea...thats normal. They all do it....even my 93. You will hear the growl when on it more than 3/4 above 3000 rpm.

50K? I thought it was supposed to be cleaned every 10k..
Anyway, Autozone sells the K&N recharger for $9.99. That's a bargain compared to other places that be charging up to $30..... IE BigboysToys ,Speed Ripoff World........

How do you remove the air box. I had a hard time removing it. I tried using the search but haven't found anything.

Sucking sound is normal, makes the car sound a bit wicked (I like!). As far as cleaning it, K&N warrants their filters (JWT is pretty much a K&N even though it doesn't say so) for 1 million miles based on a total of 20 cleanings (every 50k miles). I clean mine every 10k miles, I figure getting 200k out of a filter is good enough for me!

I just ordered a JWT popcharger from Avalon Racing today. I installed one in my brothers 1999 Maxima, in literally 10 minutes it was a peice of cake. Is the 2000 install just as easy?
