Rotor and Caliper Weight

13” rotor weight 7.5 Kg

OME rotor weight 5.5 Kg

Two piston aluminum caliper weight (with brake pads) 3.0 Kg
OME caliper weight (with brake pads) 5.0 Kg
Rotor and caliper weight is the same for OME and 13” brake kit.

i would think the rotor weight would have more impact on acceleration than the overall rotor caliper, since it is rotational weight. I know with wheel weight 1 pound extra wheel weight is like carrying 7 extra pounds of vehicle weight (or something like that) I'd think it'd be the same with rotors. That being said better braking is very important.

I didn't weigh it myself but the ship weight on 2 frozen front rotors were 32lbs.

So approx 16lb per rotor.

Physics indicates that 1lb rotational is 4 pound stationed mass. It’s interesting how much faster a car could accelerate with no rotors at all?

Hahaha...

WOW, that acceleration was blinding.... Now what?

I really need some bigger brakes (Warped again). Unfortunately I need bigger wheels for that$$$
