their slightly rough idle diagnosed from the dealer? My car seems to have a very slight rough idle, to the point where it doesn't register on the tach but you can feel it throught the steering wheel. They told me they couldn't find anything last time I brought it in.

Perhaps your idle is a little low. Does the vibration come/go with the AC being turned on or off?

Nah the idle is fine, they checked that. It does it with or without the AC on. It's very slight but it's annoying to me.

i'm surprised they didn't do an "idle air volume learn". usually if the idle is the only issue that would solve it.

it could be engine mounts... if they go bad the vibration will be there no matter what

You think that's possible on an 03 with 16k miles?

You mean the mildly rough idle and occaisional miss? That's a feature...I went around and around with my dealer about that, and finally ended up firing up about five other 2k3s. They all do it...

That's the tradeoff for the extra 40 hp of the VQ35 over the VQ30. You get the power, we get the smooth engine

I have the exact same thing and same situation. The dealer stated that nothing was wrong with my car. I have about 50k on my car and it didn't start doing this until about 40k. Granted you have way less miles then I do but its weird that it would just start getting rough out of no where.

That's what I think every time I drive a 3.5! They all seem to have that wiggle at idle- a lot of timesour techs will raise the idle 50-100 rpm when the do the IAV learning procedure.

Yea, I guess I'm going to have to get used to it then. Thanks all for the replies.
