i know they only make them for 4th gens. but someone told me that they would also fit 5th gens. is this true? would there be a problem if i used these?

 

The rears fit, however the fronts need 4th gen front strut mounts($35x2) and have to have extensive work on the lower mounting holes which is what Cattman does here:

yea me too, but did u guys use the 4th gen springs or 5th gen on them? bc i have 5th gen springs and was told to used 4th gen springs. reason being is that my rear 5th gen springs don't fit right on the strut.

To answer your question, the AGX's work wonderfully well on fifth gens from what I have heard but as was stated earlier, they do require a bit of modification to get them to fit (not as extensive as the Koni Yellows though). Let us know which route you choose.

 

hey im kinda new to this whole hooking up the maxi thing... i have a 2000 SE and am looking to get a suspension upgrade... any suggestions on spring strut combinations????

hmm, i'd like to keep my springs. anyone have these with 5th gen springs and what kind of springs? also how did u modify them to fit?

 

i'd like see how these struts compare to illuminas. i know many people here on the .org are like the illuminas, but haven't heard much from AGX owners.
