Window Tint Question?

All Massachusetts Max owners please chime in.

Does anyone in Massachusetts know of any good places to have your windows tinted? I am looking for a place that does a really clean job and even if they charge a little bit more than most places that's fine. I found this place on RT 6 in Fairheaven, MA just next to New Bedford and they do a nice job. This friend of mine had her car done there and it looks really nice. They told me $210 is what they'll charge for doing my car. It's a little distance from where I live in Lancaster, about 60 miles or so, but it's the best I have found so far. What do you guys think?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

$210 doesn't sound too bad if the work is good. I have a guy here in PA who has been tinting for like 15 years, he has done all my cars an charges me $180, anyone else he would charge $200. I would be curious to see how they do the back window, if they overlap the tint or not, he has this method he uses and it looks like one big piece of film on the back window, no lines or overlapping. Good luck with your search!!

I got mine done at Knight's Window Tinting in Bellingham, MA. $200, lifetime warranty, tint all the way to the edges of the windows...I couldn't recommend them more. I'm very happy with my windows.

Where in central Mass are you? Bellingham might be close to you.

I live in Lancaster, which is like 20 minutes from Worcester. I know where Bellingham is I use to work down that side a few years ago in Holliston. If they do a clean job it would be better to go there since I would have to pass Bellingham to get to the NewBedford/Fairhaven area. I am curious about one thing? How did they do the rear glass at the back of the car? Did they do it in one piece or did they cut it in two pieces? And did they tint the ceramic dots also. I was told by a few shops that they don't recommend tinting the ceramic dots since the tint does'nt bond to this type of surface properly. Personally I would rather them not tint the ceramic dots myself.

Skizza20 Let me know or send me a private message about the rear glass etc. In fact I will send you a private message with my email so you can hook me up with any addtional info.

I replied to your email that you gave in your PM, but they did the rear in one piece and they tinted over the dots in back. Tinting over the dots is always a little weird, but it came out good. You only really notice the inconsistencies if you look very closely. If you don't want the dots tinted, you can have him cut the tint short.
