Auto Climate Not Regulating
Auto Climate Not Regulating
I searched on google but I don't know how exactly someone posted it before so I couldnt find it. The air coming out of my vents is either at 65 or 85 and never anything in between. When I turn the dial from 65 to 75 the temp coming out doesn't change...the fan speed turns down and the air switches to face and floor. how do i fix this problem...is it a sensor? I know this has been brought up before....but any help or links to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.
There's a sensor on the bottom right hand corner of the gauge cluster trim. There should be a grille like thing on the trim. It sits behind there. I believe it's the temperature sensor which regulates the amount of air flow and adjusts to the inside temperature of the car. Try cleaning it off. It's prone to get real dusty after a while.
i used compressed air to blast out any dust in there and a lot of dust shot out of there...but it still isn't adjusting the temperature properly...would it be okay to spray a little electrical component cleaner in there?
I wish this was in the stickies... nice write-up by Dr.Roy about testing the sensors that make the auto climate work..
