use the parking brake. move the car into gear first then let down the parking brake and see if it improves. you could also check the level and condition of your atf.

Im assuming this is a 5 speed?

Let the clutch out in neutral and then try going into reverse again. Should be fine.

Im having the problem, but its putting it into first and second. I was going to bring it in since my car is still under the powertrain warranty. I just figured that the STS would need to be taken off so they cant blame it. If its a simple fix that would be great so then it doesnt need the dealerships hands on it

yea same thing happens to me. mostly with reverse and sometimes with first. I just hold the clutch down and put the shifter into different gears a few times then it usually works.

pump the clutch a few times when the gearbox is in nuetral, then put it in reverse. mine does that too, 'cept with ALL GEARS. it's my tranny though, something to do with the bearing seal, those cause sloppy shifts.

I've got the same problem. Hopefully i'm getting it fixed soon (amongst other things). Reverse gear is synchro mesh. That's what i've been told.

This problem didn't start happening until by accident i grinded up reverse a little bit driving at highway speed.

Before that, this never happened.. Though, after i added STS, it did make the problem seem a whole lot worse, but didn't cause the problem.
