Anyone replace Strut mounts with new struts?

Anyone replace Strut mounts with new struts?
When i was replacing the struts/shocks, i observed that the strut mounts seemed in perfect shape. No cracks after 90k miles. Should i just go by visual inspection when deciding if the struts are worn or not, or they have to be replaced regardless of their condition after such long use?
