Why???

I was buying a set of Titanium rims off another Max owner (2003 Max) for a nice price and an exchange for my 00 GLE stock 15" steels. His rims fit on car but my 15" wheels wouldn't fit right on his,(bolt up, but hit inner wheel well/caliper) WHY???

I would assume that 02-03 Max's have larger rotors.

yes there are but they're not factory ones.Go onto tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com and you will see 16" steelies.

P.S.your car is GXE, not GLE...only 00-01 GXEs came with steelies.
