There is a screw in the pocket right under the window controls. You have to pop off the little tab with a flat head then remove the screw w/ a phillips head. Then stick your fingers or a screw driver in the slot on the bottom of the door panel and pop it off.

speaker install

I figured out how to open the panel, thanks for the help. There is no wiring harness available for the car so crutchfield says I need to splice it in. How can I determine +/- on the original speaker. More generally, how do I do splice the harness in? BTW I do not have bose

The best way to do it is to get the wiring diagram for the speaker and hook it up taht way--If you do get a wiring diagram if there is a blue wire or something like that NISSAN use L for blue the rest is good (for example a wire with L/R would be a blue wire with a red tracer) hope that helps

The way I do the splicing is to create a harness for the speaker--find some connectors that fit into the speakers and soldier the wires to those connectors(cut the wires from the nissan connectors) also would use some shrink tubing to put around the soldier spots. But thats just the way I would do it.
