what do the speaker wires look like
what do the speaker wires look like
i know this prob should be in the audio section but im not getting any responses there, anyways, im trying to add a sub to the stock 2000 bose system and have a low output convertor and need to hook it up to the speaker signal lines or the existing bose sub anyone know which wires to do this with???
I don't know what the speakerwires look like but I was wondering if you ever had any trouble with your bose system. I have an 02 SE with Bose and I am having some trouble with the CD player 6disc in dash. My cd play is going nuts on me it distorts the sound and makes the CD sound fuzzy. It doesn't distribute the ouput equally. sometimes I only hear it on passanger side and sometimes I only hear it on the driver side. Do you know of any such problems.
i have had abosolutely zero problems with my bose system, but i have heard about problems with the 02/03 in dash cd changer, that could be one of your problems, the only issue i have is rear deck rattle from the bose sub, but im taking care of that with some dynamat

here are color basix:
12v power - red (maybe yellow?)
ground - black
power antenna - blue
speakers:
LF: +white, - white with black stripe
RF: +gray, -gray with black stripe
LR: +green, -green with black stripe
RR: +purple, - purple with black stripe
aftermarket amps need a remote wire that goes to the amp, it is blue as well.
you can get a line converter for our bose head unit. i beleive its oem-nis2 for the part number. this little box goes right behind your factory head unit, and you hood the factory harness into it, then it has two RCA audio wires coming out to go to aftermaket amp for sub or whatever. you can look in 5th gen how-tos and FAQs, it DEFINETELY has all the instructions and part numbers you need to do all this.
peace.
