Since my muffler has rusted away, nows a perfect time to buy a ypipe. I figure I can have them put it on,while they replace my muffler.
After semi-thorough research,im leaning toward Warpspeed. whats the word on these? Recommended....or no?

I'd go with Cattman. I'd be hesitant to buy WSP cause i've heard varied stories about them. Also, I dont think theyve ever been dyno tested, cattman has. WSP also sells mostly on ebay and I'd be hesitant to buy from "ebay brands." save up the money and go for cattman, itll be worth it.

 

Warpspeed, have had mine 2 years no problems

 

Sears sells on Ebay too and so do many big name brands so I'm not sure of your point. Anyway, I just had a Warp Y installed. No Bees in the can but t sits lower then the stock Y and is banging on the brace. It's an easy fix.

 

Cattman Headers With Y-pipe And High Flow Catyletic Converter, if you got the cash, if not just go with the cattman y-pipe.

 

I would go with the Cattman. I'd get one if it wernt for the fact that I bought a WSP one for $165. My B-pipe is a cattman and replaces my Greddy one. I had a few fittment issues with my WSP but that may only be due to the fact that I have a WSP Ypip, Cattman Bpipe, and a Greddy Exhaust. If I could do it again I would Go all Cattman as I've never heard fitment issues with any of their products.
My opinion;they make a quality product and are well worth the extra $ if you have it.

 

Go with wsp if your broke.....But it does have a aluminumized sound [bees in the can] hate that crap...definate hp increase , i'm going to dyno soon.

sold my warpspeed because it sounded like garbage and I don't believe it really makes things that much faster. I would consider it a waste to pay for a dyno to see if my HP increased 4 or 5HP which is just outside the threshold of error (I think it is ~3). In retrospect I should have spent my money in suspension mods or leather interior. Both would have been a ton more fulfilling. I own a motorcycle now and if I want to have fun I tear through 0-60 in a few seconds which is so much more fun. If I inspire one person to go with a leather interior or another "creature" comfort instead of "performance" parts my job will be done Just remember that no matter how much money you spend in performance you will eventually get used to it and it will be like you never got it. Now that I got my bike I feel like my maxima is as slow as a hummer, but a little better on gas.

Not if you bought your stuff on the D2 Coilover Group Deal.

 

My D2's are great.... I love them. Handle great and no noise as long as you know what you are doing.

I would love to drop it a little,for obvious reasons to us all. But,i have a few bucks buring a hole in my pocket,so i figure might as well buy the ypipe now,ive wanted it,just been putting it off. I dont have $600-$700 now,or at least for a few months to buy all new springs and shocks/struts. For the uptight guys...i came to that price by adding the cost of the those parts,and installation,cause i cant install them myself.

 

ok so pretty good that someoen posted about y pipes cuase im in the market for somewhat a full exhaust i wanting to buy y pipe b pipe high flow cat and im gonna use my muffuler i have so any suggestions some high flow cat suggestions also plz ?? i know most say the ebay things are crap but then again some ppl say they arent bad so theres some pretty differnet prices on high flow cats from ebay to other brands some input plz

 

High flow cats do NOT give ANY appreciable gains to maximas unless you are FI and really need the extra flow. The stock cat flows fine...don't waste your money. PLEASE don't waste your money.

 

From my own experiences with ebay, all mods for performance from ebay are crap, well except for Frnakencar Exhaust cause thats the only way they sell, i spent around 500 buck on cheap ebay exhausts, changeing mufflers, pipes haveing them welded in, installed uninstalled, basically heres the deal most orgers will back me up on this--- i hope--

Has anyone dynoed after installing wsp y-pipe? I'm interested in buying a y-pipe since the injen intake sucks by itself.

This is true for sure on the 3.0 maximas. However, the 3.5 main cat will begin to melt once headers are installed and flow will slowly begin to decrease until it completely clogs up.

 

how exactly does the 3.5 need suspension less than the 3.0...they are virtually identical.

 

well, the guy was talking about ypipe and bpipe + cat....headers always require more flow obviously. Apologies for my poor wording....

 

or you could just google it or donate and search it that way. why expect someone else to do your work for you?
