brake rotor/pad help
i changed my rotors and pads and now my brakes are sqeeking a lot more than they used to. a friend told me that some cars have a certain procedure they should go through when new rotors and pads are installed. anyone done anything like this or is it complete bull?
btw, i installed brembo rotors with axis pads on my 5.5gen. i bought these off ebay and i have doubts thats that are real brembo rotors. if anyone has pictures or knows any distinct features of brembo rotors please let me know.

i think you need to break (bed) the brakes in ....see the following page for procedures:
-- it is called bedding the brakes..

Did you use anti-squeal goop on back of the shims and pads?
There is a lot more to a good brake job than just undoing the bolts, and putting everything back together. The most important part is cleaning everything.
1. Did you regrease the caliper pins, clean the pad retaining clips?
2. Did you make sure you didn't get any contaminants on the pad surface or between the pad and the rotor?
3. Did you make sure you cleaned the hub surface before mounting the rotor to make sure you got a nice flat seating surface?
Typically squealing from brakes either indicates shi**y pads or a bad brake job. There are instances where some performance pads tend to squeak until they are warm - does the squeaking go away after driving for a while?
