Air Filter Replacement

Hey, everyone...

Is it worth it to get a racing air filter like this one?

http://www.2kracing.com/index.php/cPath/25

Also, how easy is it to install on my own? Does anyone know of a good guide to install one? Thanks.

Also, just wanted to know everyone's opinion on this exhaust system...

http://www.2kracing.com/product_info...oducts_id/2175

Thanks

The stock drop-in filter is quite good and does the job. Aftermarket intakes with conical filters provide minimal gains in power but a noticably racier engine sound.

Parker....I can see a similar theme going in all of your threads so far.

Here's some advice:
Don't go to or buy from crap ricer online sites like 2kracing. Also, don't buy engine or exhaust components off Ebay!!!

Check out more Maxima-centric sites like www.cattman.com, www.frankencar.com, www.stillen.com, www.redmax.com, and www.custommaxima.com

They will actually know about your car, and have components made to fit your car.

Also, before asking basic questions like exhaust, filters, suspension, intake, etc....look around, especially at the sticky threads. These subjects have been addressed a million times here and there is a ton of information here already on 'what you should and what you should not get'

Just get a fram/stp/duestche (sp)/whatever brand and change it every 3/4 oil changes. A new fram air filter will flow more than a new K & N. The "higher" flow K & N will flow more over a long change interval... likr 30K.
