Need Brake Pads and rotors, any Suggestion?

I went to check my brake today cus it's making a little sounds when i am not braking ,the Mechanic told me it's the rotors making the noise. Maybe i changed the cheap brake pads from R&S 8 months ago cause that problem ...and i am always getting terrible metal braking noise.
I can only spend $300 bucks for rotors and pads, any suggestion? all i need is comfortable braking with no noises...

i recently went with brembo blanks in the front along with hawk hps pads. i got the rotors for 82 shipped from qualityimportparts.com and the pads for $65 shipped from car-stuff.com pads seem to dust less than the bendix pads that i had on. sr20den installed them for me and i am very happy with the purchase. the pads do some heat before they really bite but great so far.

there's a company coming out with new quality rotors for our cars. They have a new design which lets more air through so less heat is absorbed. Guaranteed warp and crack proof. Great customer service, dude let me take his 350z with his own 13" rotors and do damage on the rotors and they did not dissappoint me at all. More info coming soon but i have finally found my stock replacement. No need for 2k4 upgrade unless u want the extra braking, if u just want brakes that wont warp, i found the solution. And they will be making kits with 2k4 sizes. New and promising things coming very soon!!!!!

hopefully the anti-squeal will do its job but i have always expected a little more noise and dusting from any other than oem.

just curious......when i got my brake pads changed, all the mechanic did was change the break pads. wasnt he supposed to adjust something for the ABS? he told me it wasnt neccesary. but now i feel a difference in my ABS. like if i slam the brakes the ABS doesnt kick in as it used to. i didnt get a chance to test it in the rain though. anyone know if its necesarry to have the ABS system adjusted or changed or something? let me know...thanks !

there is no adjustment to the abs necessary for either changing the pads or rotors. if he just changed the pads, hopefully he checked the condition and either suggested replacing or resurfacing them. i have gotten away with just replacing the pads once but in every other instance i have seen, there were issues.

I was going to post this exact thread and I saw this on the first page. I really need new fronts, so I'm thinking Brembo blanks and the OEM pads. I just don't want my rotors to warp (AGAIN). Where do you guys buy your parts?

Here I go again I got a set of ceramic pads (blue line, lifetime warranty) and rotors from CarQuest (check out carquest.com or for Canadians carquest.ca for locations/shipping) for under $100. I just replaced them for the second time. No dust and quiet. The last set drove me for about 30K before rotors warped. I only bought a set of new rotors for $40 now and replaced the pads under warranty... For 30K and $40 I am happy...
