I have a CF dash kit that also fills in the power window switches- its called a MOLDED dash kit. When you pay the bux to get a REAL dash kit, its molded to the console and power window switches- looks like it came like that from the factory.

I'm wondering whether to get an OEM match kit from http://www.wooddashfactory.com/pages...?partno=wd433C

Or a brushed Aluminum kit....is it hard to remove the simulated wood trim in my stock 02 GLE?

The wood kit is not attatched to anything, it is actually the piece around the shifter and the enitre window switch is made of that plastic. Does that make sense?

If youhad to pick go with the aluminum or CF, too much wood and it looks tacky.

Let me get this clear...that means that the pieces are in its entirety as the simulated wood grain?

So would I just snap and glue the aluminum/cf on top of the wood pieces?

do yourself a favor and stay away from the flat "stick on" pieces. I learned from experience.

If I was doing what you wanted to do I would think you would have to go to a junk yard and get the pieces you need and add on top of it. I have 0 experience with a molded dash so I don't know how well it covers up the existing trim pieces.
