Car got backed into ... trunk damage

I'm so pissed. Some dumb *** w girl backed into my baby. I'm sitting there minding my own at a small get together, when suddenly I see this SUV start backing up, I turn my head and then look back , and I see it getting closer and closer I get off my ****, walk over there and hear a nice "crunch" I had a little too much alcohol in my system and I went pretty crazie, luckily;y there were some friends there to calm me down. So she offered to pay for all damages and such .. Hmm I can't remember if she was hot because it was dark, but that still wouldn't have been any excuse. ... ... I'll have some pics later. Luckily a friend of mine does some good body work, so hopefully she won't be injured for too long. Things to be thankful for, it could have been worse, no lights were damaged(all red tails)...only the trunk, I'm thinking just get a whole new trunk for 325 from Pinnacle and then have my bud paint it. Not even the spoiler is hurt.

Once again, this shows a high amount of women cannot drive to save their lives, much less an oversized gas guzzling SUV.

I had and still have my 1995 for over 5 years, and not one incident such as this, I guess it was bound to happen ... still pis'ses me the f'uck off. I'm glad I hadn't lowered her yet, who knows what would've happened then.

Everything was all good after, called the g/f to pick me up, and went home for the night.

I know, I know because : Give me a few hours.

a friend of mine got rear ended by a woman at a stop sign yesterday.

The car in front of him left so he moved up. She just slammed on the gas pushed his trunk in. The rear window even fell out.

She must have accelerated pretty quick at one point to dent it that bad...

...no wait, I almost forgot that the vehicle weighs 3tons!

Bad ignorant driver + 3ton SUV = Death Machine

Yeah I hope so too

I got the paint code, but since the car, even though an 03, is almost 3 years old (production date 10/02).. and i live in a desert .. where it's sunny about 3/4's the time, so the "rule of thumb" for blending the paint might not hold true for the typical blend recipe.

They don't think, thats the problem. I almost rear ended someone who decided they didn't want to take an exit. They start entering the highway from a DEAD STOP with me in the right lane!!! I really don't know how people get licenses these days. I think they eased up on the driving tests. Lane changes w/o signal, driving w/o headlights, U-turns with traffic moving...horrible!!!

i understand how you feel man. atleast that person is paying for your repair. my girl friend drove my car to work in waltham, MA, and some old lady who couldnt park scratched my rear bumper and then drove off. If I was there, i would have chased her...... a scratched bumper is not worth 500 bucks deductible....

Trunk came in today

I will be out of town this weekend, so hopfully when I return on Monday (long holiday weekend) it wll be all perfect, though not likely the way things typically go in this non-ideal world. Oh well, at least it will be that much closer to be getting fixed.

I foresee my 03 being done within the next 6 weeks.

Progress/Illumina---->6th gen brakes---->TS L spec---->A/F tuning.

But it's not underlined. I've had the SAFC-II for 4 mos, and it has done nothing but sit .. I got my 6g brakes all within the last 2 weeks, and they're going on in 2 days ..go figure.

We'll see how it goes. I have some real funky **** going on with my AFC at the moment. I'll probably wait until I get my SAFCII installed to go to the dyno. Ill get them to do a couple of pulls before we tune the SAFC and then a couple more once we have tuned.... should be some interesting comparison numbers. Hopefully I wont get on the price of tuning.

I remember reading your tuning situation, but are you going to use a wide-band upstream?? Or are you going to probe her as.s with a tailpipe sniffer type deal?
