Hi guys, im posting this for a friend(he doesnt have new thread abilities yet), ok he just bought a used black '01 se, the guy he bought it from had red int.(M3 envy i guess), red seats, red carpet, altho black dash luckily, my bud just wants to go back to basic blk, what does he have to do or where should he go to have this changed, for seats i told him leatherseats.com, but the carpet is what most concerns him most, also what would be the aprox cost if anyone knows

i would find another maxima at a junk yard, and spend a few hours taking out the oem carpet. it's duable, i had to peel back half of my carpet in my old camry when doing 0 gauge amp wire install.
it will take some time, but in the end it's cheaper than paying somebody.
you will have to take the interior apart completely. take the front seats out, the center console, door trim, etc.
getting new leather for the seats is prolly a good idea. i think new leather is always better than junkyard seats.
there are a few threads, some pages back, about a group buy on new leather covers, and pix. doing the seats seems more difficult, and unless you have skillz, a body shop, or interior shop may have to do those.\

All depends how handy he is and how much he wants to spend. I have done all carpeting and redoing the seat although not in maximas. Cost a lot more if somebody else (professional) does it but well, will look professional. One option is do the carpet yourself and either use cover for seats or buy new/used one if budget allows. I have seen good leather seats on e-bay. Good luck.
By the way, now that I am on it, This rule sucks on this web site that newbies can't post anything!!!. I am a member of at least 3 other websites for sometime now, and no one this rules. We always been able to weed out spammers.
