Briguymax and I did a couple of runs tonight with his 97 5 speed vs my 2k 5 speed. I got spanked basically! I lost by about 2 carleghts from a stop till around 80. When Bri was stock we were dead even. I am totally stock and he has a y-pipe and JWT. I ordered the JWT and soon i will have a Cattman Y, I think i should be even with him then. I beat him in my moms 99 E320 the other day on the highway, so i dont feel too bad.

Plus I kicked his dad's 330i's *** on the highway today with my pop's Lexus GS430 :P

hehehe.. yea thats straight six is no joke on the highway...
i started reading the killing of the 330i and im like nooo i dont think so and then i saw the GS430 part and im like hehehehe thats funny... I love the GS it got that whiplash pull if u press it from any speed... it just seems like it got soo much powerrr... I never had a chance to actually drive it fast... just lowend... I do a sh*t load of burnouts with it though...

Yea Yea....I knew I was gonna lose, but it was still fun. That thing pulled like 10 cars on me from about 65-120. But what do you expect, 300 hp vs 225 hp. One day you need to bring the GS430 up against the CLK55 or the Vette and see what its got to offer

By the way, you forgot to add that i pulled about 2 cars on you when we raced on the highway because your car got a slight jump on the E320's auto.

LOL, man learn to drive that 2k 5spd better please! I ran a few local members here that have 5spds, one modded, one not, and I took them both, I also ran the not modded one again after ypipe, and still took him. I am still stock also btw.

Whats your technique when launching and where do you shift. I got a good launch and shifted at the redline and he still beat me. His car is simply faster than mine. Take into account that he has a Y-pipe and intake vs my stock car(jwt not installed yet)..

come on Russ...just admit it....it is possible for a 4th gen to beat a 5th gen. Jason (MAX2000JP) is as good a stick driver as I am...my car is simply faster...that's all there is to it. He knows it...and I know it. What really gets him is my first gear....it just pulls SO much harder. oh...but wait...he's got 32 more HP than I do.....so he should definitely take me....just like a GTP should take me...and a mustang 5.0...the list goes on and on.

PS - Dave, kick his butt for me...would ya??

PPS - the gap will widen when I get my new non-slipping ACT clutch in to the mix.

I raced Sachin98max tonight too.
on a 30 mile punch i kicked his butt.
Off the line he took me man. So i guess it all depends.
I need to work on my launches and my response.

BTW he's auto with y pipe intake and exhaust

I shift at redline, lanch at 3k clutch slipping. We normally are both even off the line, but once I hit around 4500+ I start to pull on them. The 1st one that was modded had ypipe, intake.

Yes 4th gen Maximas will eventually take me. But I haven't been taken yet? I don't know, maybe my 5th gen is stronger than most... Go figure...Guess we will see what it runs at the track.

Don't expect the best ets at our track due to the slick surface and the fact that the humidity is always high because it sits right next to the Blue River. I'll bring some VHT and we'll see if we can get some decent runs. It will be nice seeing another import 4 door at the track. I'm usually the only one there.
