I'm a 4th gen guy trying to install a 5th gen muffler on my car, but when I went to do so I realized the inlet pipe on the 5th gen muffler I bought goes all the way over the rear beam, instead of just coming out 6" from the muffler like on the 4th gen muffler.
I was talking to some people, and apparently SE mufflers are different than the GXE/GLE mufflers, with one of the types being the kind I have, and the other kind being more similar to the 4th gen inlet design.
Basically, I'm trying to see if any of the 5th gen mufflers have the short inlet pipe, or if all go over the beam then attach to the b pipe.

nope all 5 gens have the same exhaust. and all 5.5 gens have the same exhaust

 

but the SE emblems worth 10 whp...
