okay, so i didn't actually get beat.
i pull out of the gas station and pull up to a light next to one of those big brown UPS trucks. the guy (in his brown shorts and brown short sleeve button down) is checking out my stock maxima and we make eye contact. he gestures toward the light and smiles so i nod cuz i figure what the heck. a few seconds later, the light's green and all i see is the split back doors of his truck. i've got an auto so all i have to do is hit the gas and i catch him maybe half a block down at 40 mph. with his door slid open i can see him throwing around that 3 foot long shifter with his head all crouched down. at this point i don't have to do anything to keep up but i found it funny to watch the dude race a UPS truck with such intensity.
after all, he did get a good jump on me.

My brother works for Fedex. He races his breadtruck all the time mostly against the competition, UPS. I think it would be a riot seeing them go.

There's no substitute for great low-end torque. I surprise people at stoplights all the time with my 9,000 lb BAM-bulance. She gets to 50 pretty damn quick. Too bad 4th gear in the thing is too tall, it kills the acceleration.

Better watch out: UPS means 'bidness. They are throwing some money behind the Truck. You almost bit off more than you can chew.

Here are the Truck's stats: http://www.racing.ups.com/racing/truck/

That is so damn funny. I don't think I would be able to contain myself racing a UPS truck. I'd probably **** myself laughing if a UPS driver motioned for a race. Damn thats funny.

Shoot, in the Silcon Valley, I've seen lots of FedEx trucks burn through traffic. You'd think they were making Domino's Pizza deliveries or something! Those things sure do accelerate quick!

Yeah, those guys at www.expressdeliveryracedriver.org just hate the folks here at Maxima.org. I think they're going to launch a forum flooding campaign after this.
