had a long day

well i started working on my car today since i had a day to do nothing else. i have new motor mounts to be put in, and i am having the injectors rebuilt so i needed to pull them out. that is so much easier said than done. My buddy and i tried everything we could think of to get the back motor mount loose and we couldn't. because of the extensions we had to use we lost too much torque and we broke two extensions. tomorrow we are going to try the impact he has at work. so we'll see. then after that failure i started to work on getting the intake manifold off. that is a pain in the a$$ because of the four bolts on the back side of the intake. i had everything else ready to be removed except for those four bolts in like 45 minutes(keep in mind this is my first time). and them after another 45 minutes of screwing with those damn bolts i got the damn thing out of there. what a pain in the a$$. i will have them cleaned and rebuilt tomorrow, and i'm also getting a fuel pump hardwire switch. I am putting spray on soon is the reason for doing all of this work, and i'm trying to do everything myself to keep the cost down. it's a lof of work but it's kind of fun. i'll have some pics up tomorrow. i'm too tired tonight to post them up. i'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow, hopefully i will have a running car tomorrow night, but i'll wait before i garuntee that statement. because i am the example of murphy's law. talk to you guys tomorrow. and sorry for babbling on here.

i was getting the injectors out to have them rebuilt, i am putting on nitrous really soon and my car has 87,000 miles on it with the original injectors and i want to be sure that they are working like they need to be. also i really want to put my new motor mounts in to get rid of some wheel hop.

im not sure on an 00 how its setup, but on my 02 this is how you should go about it.

those four bolts on top of the intake, go ahead and kneel right on top of the engine. if its the four im thinking of, it will make things a little easier.

as for the rear motor mount, drop the cross member and remove them that way if it's not how your already going at it.

hope some of that helps.

when you take your injectors in, would you also get a quote for rebuilding for higher flow, as well?

thx.
