Anyone with 2k1 maf in a 5.5gen run rich?
The amf in mny 02 went bad so i chaged it with the updated 2k1 and added the iat from my 02. the car smells liek its running rich now and i get a bit of smoke on initial start. i reset the ecu when i installed the new maf, but do i need to get it reprogrammed?

generally poorer throttle response, poor fuel mileage, black smoke from exhaust, fouled plugs, over time... saturated crankcase excessive carbon buildup, catalyst failure, etc... ck engine light if it gets bad enough.

im thinking maybe my Apexi safc is ****ed up. i might lean it out a bit and see if it makes a diffrence. its set to stock now. anyone have an idea baout what percentage to lean it out by?

lololol... you have an afc.
thats probably the problem, especially if you were tuning it to a failing MAF. if you were attempting to compensate, or doing so unknowingly for a lean condition, then a proper maf with that same adjustment would have you running a little rich

CRAP. I had a blown 2K MAF in my 2K (sprayed throttle body cleaner on it [don't ask]) it was running really rich (black smoke out the exhaust and it smelled like gas) but when I replaced it with a new MAF (2K1, it was ok). I think your MAF is screwed up
