Is there anywhere to purchase the rims. I know ebay, but it is all replica rims. I want brand new rims, with no road rash. Do I just have to wait and get lucky?

by the way, 235/40/18 is more in spec for stock diameter and a 8" wide wheel (which the G35 18's are)....

225 would look TOO narrow on this wheel IMHO. I have 235/40/18.....which sits perfectly with the rim lip....

Get the eBay ones, IMO. Same quality, same building plant, same manufactured specs. My TE rims are from eBay, the only difference is the seller applies their own color, so my TE rims are actually shinnier than OEM (which is a HUGE plus; they look so f-ing beautiful in motion). I weighed my OEM 17s with the TEs I got from eBay and they weighed in within .4lbs of each other.

there are a couple of differences with the OE G35 wheels and the replica ebay ones.
1) the offset for OE is +30mm and ebay's are +35mm i believe.
2) width of OE is 8.0 in and ebay's are 7.5 in.

That is for the 18's....he is asking about the sedan 17's

The G35 SEDAN 17's stock are 17x7 with 40mm offset

The G35 COUPE 17's stock are 17x7.5 and 17x8(r) with 30mm and 33mm offset (a bit "deeper dish" than the sedan 17's)

The G35 COUPE 18's stock are 18x8 with 30mm offset

The EBAY G35 COUPE 18's are 18x7.5 with 35mm offset...

I'm sure they will, since I assume the bolt pattern is the same, but you'd probably have to get different tires... the rears are 245/40/19 and may rub... most people have 245/35/19 (19x8.5) or 235/35/19 (19x8) tires I believe...

Do you guys recommend a drop with the G35 rims or will they look fine with the stock suspension?

a good rule of thumb is that the bigger your rims are, the bigger your wheel gap will "look" (it's a visual illusion of sorts)...

but yes, I would suggest at least a mild drop (Maxspeeds or H&Rs)...

It depends on how big of a wheel gap you want... if you want the 10 finger wheel gap and 4x4 look, then leave it... if you want a smaller gap, then drop it. 18s have less rubber and will "increase" the wheel gap.

I want some G35 wheels too. I have the OEM 17" 2000 SE wheels. Why will the tires on the 18's rub?

Well, let's think about this for a second.....why in the world would the tires rub? hmmm.....could it be that they are too big?

the stock rear tires that come with the G35 coupe are 245/45/18, which are quite a bit larger in diameter than the size that the maxima should use with those wheels, 235/40/18. They will rub if you use the G35 tires on them, not if you get the correct size.

They will not fit. The offset is wrong and the bolt pattern is different. I was able to hammer some on and they rubbed the inside and outside of the fender. They also make horrible noises at speeds above 42mph.

Hey irish how is the ride with your maxspeeds and illuminas? My friend has a riced out civic with a drop and I hate his ride, I like the stock ride. Are these as close to the stock ride you can get? thanks.
