torquing aftermarket lug nuts

how many ft. lbs do you guys torque your lug nuts to on your after market rims..on 2000 and up models???
My tire guy recommends 85. Is that about right or way off???

User manual states between 72 and 86 ft-lbs. So, 80 or 85 would be fine.
