Shifter bushings

I'm a noobie max owner with an 02 se 6-speed. I bought a WM STS from someone on the org and I'm planning on changing the trans fluid and replacing it with some redline and was wondering was else I can do to improve shifter quality? Who makes a nice polyurethane shifter bushing kit and where can I buy them? Is it a difficult install or can I do this myself with basic tools and a good amount of auto-experice? Any thoughts from the veterans who have done this before

Bushings can be obtained here: http://www.suspension.com/nissancars.htm or if you call Brian Catts: www.cattman.com

Its a simple install, relatively.... and it'll make a difference. It may be harder to shift at first, but I believe it'll smoothen out nicely later (I have yet to do it, but I've tried someone else's).

Yeah, but I believe those are only for the 4th and 5th Gen 5 MT and not the 6 MT that the 5.5s have.

The bushing is just the black piece that connects the shifter arm/pin together correct? Has anyone tried replacing it with a bearing as opposed to a bushing? Would/does this help?

Thanks!
