Help angel eyes

Hey guys,
I have a question about the DDE angel eyes from custom maxima. The smaller angel eyes have a bump on top in the middle. I’m not sure if it is a crack or some hardened silicon (??). The big rings are fine. Also the very bottom of the small rings on each side don’t light up. Very small part but not sure if this is all normal. Is all this normal?
Thanks

Pic would be nice to describe the bump that you're talking about. As far as the portion that is not lighting up, I would check to make sure the wires aren't shorting each other out. Especially where the wires plug into the ballast. Also make sure the wires aren't to long. I tried mounting the ballasts on the fire wall and the rings would barely light up.

Yeah a picture would be nice. Might be just some deformation of the glass? Yeah about the not lighting up might have to check your wiring.

Thanks, I think it's some dried silicon. But in terms of it not lighting at the bottom I'm still not sure. My wiring is fine. I'm just going to send the 2 small ones back.

Pics would be nice...They should light up like this:

You might have a weak ground. Check the rings with a 12V power adapter at home and play with the rings. That's how I found out I had 2 white and 2 blue.

Should have ordered from Umnitza...I think they are on sale again for $150.

I talked to custommaxima.com and I'm sending the 2 small ones back for another set of small ones. I have to pay for sending them but they said they would cover the return trip. they claim it's not defective but they are. thanks for trying to help out.

Umnitza wouldn't charge you. Bad choice going with CustomEnterprizes.

The Ebay ones are crap...these are really angle eyes. They have a balast like HIDs not some crappy one LED thing. Trust me. There are people who will tell you those lights are horrible. Don't get them.

Yo you might want to check out the Halo projectors for your 2K. I put them on my black 2K, and they look great, and take like 5 minutes to wire. The only drawback to them is that their low beams suck, and the beam pattern is weird. If you live somewhere where all the roads are well lit and you dont really need headlights to see, then they are a great option.

Your right. I'm working on it. I refused to pay the shipping and insurance they want me to pay to send it back. If they do not pay for it I will return the whole product back.

I'd return it. Don't tell them you're going to buy them from Umnitza.

That's pretty funny and redundant at the same time. How do you have headlights and not really need to see?

Yeah, your right, tht is pretty funny - but live in Long Island- The sky is permanently Orange, and every street is lit up like a christmas tree, thus the lack of need for headlights to see, more to be seen.

You can buy the 2k2-2k3 headlights (about $800) on ebay...They have HIDS and you can put angel eyes into those.
