Stock Alarm Sensativity Adjustment.

Here a dumb question is there any way to tune or make the stock alarm on a 01 stronger or better, i dont have the money right now to invest in a aftermarket one right now due to a big trip. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

there ain't no shock sensor on the stock alarm. Open goes off like when you unlock the door from within the car when the alarm is enabled or open hood or trunk. I believe you can add shock sensors to them, but hey it's better to go get an alarm with remote start and everything and get that hooked up to the factory horns too. Then you got one loud *** ****ing alarm.

What does the factory brain look like? How would you add sensors? What would you have to look for? Anyone got any wiring diagrams. I know that a after market alarm would be better but i dont have 700 to spair right now.

2 way aftermarket alarm with 2 pagers and remote start cost $300 with installation. better then the stock remote where you have to be really close to the car to turn it on and off and such. I think in the end it's a better buy then getting shock sensors and messing with your anti-thief. on the "how" part i don't know...maybe another .org memeber can help.
