g35 brakes

i'm not sure if this has been discussed or not, but is it possible to put the g35 brake calipers on our car? if so has anyone done it and is it better than our stock brake setup?

Maybe from the 02 Sedan ... But not the brembos.

Best/cheapest option is still 04+ brakes.

I figured that the would be the best option, especially after reading my linked thread on the 1200 G35's Brembos, I'd rather flintstone it.

I like the G35 Sedans MUCH better, the coupe is just overrated. Its not that great.

the sedan is really nice, with a spolier and an aero kit with navi you'll be pimpin

they also have the 6sp Sedan with 300hp now and sport suspension..omg what a car. DEF take it over the TL ANNYY day

Coupe is overrated? Cripes man, that thing is one of the best looking cars in it's class (or any class for that matter). Now I'm actually looking for a sedan so don't get me wrong. But the coupe is at least one notch better looking than the sedan

I prefer the back end, front end and sides vs the sedan. Other than that, sedan all the way

yep i agree with you. the sedan just looks like it was just cut off too short. for a sedan, i classify it as a compact to midsize sedan. i guess if it was a little longer and they lowered the trunkline it'd look a little better.

Not I. I love the TL. Something I could forsee owning a few years down the road once my testosterone levels start to fall and my hairline beings to recede.

I like the TL's interior/exterior. I don't like the TL's FWD.

Yeah, I'll have to agree with that, but the IS350 will still be a bit too far out of my range when it's time for new wheels.

I honestly believe I'd take the TL A-Spec over the IS350, even though it comes out today but I haven't had an upclose and personal experience with it. That what I presume, but things could change.

I am glad that Lexus is starting to get away from the stereotyping that people put on it's drivers that everyone presumes. ie.....the older ES, GS, and LS lines.

In my humble opinion, at these levels, I'd really shy away from the fwd. As good as the TL looks and performs, it will always be a fwd understeering/torque steering car. I think if handling is a high priority, one has to really look at the rwd options.

Or maybe move up to the awd RL

In light of your above post, I drove the TL non-A-Spec, and I really thought that it handled very well. The corners were pretty much like riding on rails, and the steering was pretty responsive to be on stock 17 inch rims. What advantages over this particular TL testdrive would I have felt with a rearwheel drive vehicle.

I've only owned 2 rearwheel drive cars, but have driven quite a handful. The two were a Nissan Truck, and an 85 200sx, which I had for only a month or so when I was 16. So I couldn't qualify these as enough time spent behind the wheel of one to get a good impression.

Night and day in a properly designed setup. My last car was a '99 Boxster and MAN was that thing glued to the road.

No matter what Acura does to their TL, it will always be fwd and have torque steer. They can make it approach good handling but there's no way you can get away from the physics of it. Drive a 330IS or a G35 coupe

You are right, I'd take a 330i also. Mostly because they cost $10 grand more for the same options.

But for the handling thing, most if not all tests, show the G was right there, if not better handling than the bmw. #s wise. BMW gets the nood with the magazine's "feel" whatever the hell that means.

THANK-YOU.

Plus, IMHO, a 330i is 10000x sexier
