the fogs bubble out...its not under the lens at all its just like the infiniti headlight......well it was about 10:30pm and i was at a red light when the light turned green i started going then out of no where some drunk *** lady took a red turn light and i smacked right into her passenger side....a kinda perfect t-bone accident. luckily some hot chick saw everything and wrote a statement for the cops as well so everything is going to work out hopefully....basically her whole passenger side is fawked up and all i got is that...... gotta love nissan huh

sorry to hear about what happened. Atleast you have a witness and all should work out.

What size driving/fog fits in 01 maxima fender?

Hey bro, do you remember what size light you put in that fitted in the maxima fender fog light well/spot (for those of us who didn't get them new with the car and have the ugly plastic stopper/insert in there)? Are you going to have to replace your lights as well with that damage (looks like the light may still work)?

There are a lot of sizes that look close, but since they come in .25" increments I'm curious as to what the fit was for you guys who bought after market to put into the fender. It seems 2.75" and 3" inchers fit in there (anyone put a 3.5"-4" light?) Thanks.

If I was you, I'd get the bodyshop to order me two new headlights. Than have them remove the hid system from your damaged ones, and put that into your fogs, you won't be disappointed.

You mean MaxxTuning Lip, otherwise known as MT Lip? That would be a good upgrade. Hell while you're at it, why don't you spring for a carbon fiber hood? I'd definately upgrade and parts that are damaged. Specially damage from a DRUNK DRIVER. GL with it. Post pics when it's done.

I got the same Fog lights in my Maxima..

Discount auto ..APC makes them its has Sentra Spec V on the pic..

I brought these hoping they dont fit in the Maxima.. The dude said I could take one out and compare the size. and what do you know? they fit..Plus there resemble the Q45 headlights..

I brought mines for $50 and some change..

im havent gotten around to figure how to open them up, I either want to add HIDs or Yellow bulbs in them.

The shop will probably have to replace the entire front bumper by the looks of it. You have a couple of options there (all about the same $ as OEM). Don't let them throw on anything but a Nissan OEM bumper if you're going back to stock. If you're going for a kit, check out Redline's bumper (http://www.forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=430922) or any of the few others out there (I'm sure other people will chime in here). I can personally attest to the quality of Redline's bumper since my car is the test fitter. I know Corey's got a bunch in stock right now and can ship one out Monday to your shop if you get things rolling by then.

if all goes well im going to try and claim the other headlight then take out the bulbs and retrofit them into the fogs.......... and try and open them to paint it a diff color because i kinda dont like the dark contrast with the front bumper ya know

Whats going to happen is that if you only get one new hid headlight, there will be a slight color difference between the two. My passenger side headlight was stolen back in june and there was a clear difference between the two when I first got my car back and put the lights on at night. The newer one was more yellow because the bulb hadn't "shifted" yet and I was told by everyone on here that it would take something like 100 hours or so before it would shift and to keep the lights on all the time so it would shift quicker. Since then, (not keeping the lights on all the time) the difference isn't as great, but still noticible. The only positive thing from the experience, well, two positive things, were that I got my front bumber repainted which needed to be done and I upgraded to piaa leds in the clearence lights and they look awesome.
