Brake shudder

Hey, when I brake with moderate force the car sometimes shudders or vibrates a bit. What could be wrong? Warped rotors? It's a '01 SE 5-speed

i don't think it's warped...i think you need to really abuse your rotors to make em warp.

it's just buildup on the rotors... it happens alot on 5th gens that there's a TSB on the problem..

just get your rotors resurfaced you you'll be fine... i had to do mine at about 70k

correct....the rotors are not "warped", they just feel that way because of uneven buildup of pad material due to our crap OEM pads.

Get them resurfaced and then buy some Hawk HPS pads, and you'll be good to go.

what if you've had them resurfaced twice already and you still get the shudder? then it's warped, right?

have you continued to use the OEM pads or OEM replacements? Or did you change to a good quality pad that doesn't leave a buildup on the rotor (Hawk)

Also, most rotors once you resurface them twice, there should be no third time... You would need ones and like guys said, get some good pads with new rotors...

the pads are new--but I figured it was time to switch the rotors--thanks for the comments.
