Will the I35 speedometer be a straight up plug and play on my 02 GLE w/TCS

Thanks,
Keith

I35 gauges are electroluminiscent (sp?), it's not just bulbs. I really like how bright they are, but hate the layout of them compared to the Maxima.

If you want your guages brighter, check out Metal Maxima's webpages, he has a nice right up on it. http://forums.maxima.org/member.php?userid=44588

Not sure, I've been on here awhile and haven't seen anyone do a guage cluster swap from an I35 into a Maxima, only from an I35 into an I30.

I have a 02 GLE w/out TCS and have installed a 02 I-35 cluster. I had to change a number of pins out on the 3 plugs on the rear. Mainly the shift indicator pins, lighting circuit pins, amb sensor, some grounds and constant and ignition power circuits, the steering wheel switch for the board computer, and a few others. My only final issue is I don't know if I bought the cluster from a VDC equipped I-35 as I am having trouble getting speedo function, which at this time is the only thing that is not working correctly.

I have researched all the wiring schematics from the online FSM's at both the Infiniti and Nissan sites. I have tried a number of configurations but I think it is going to boil down to that I don't have the proper ABS/TCS board found on the ABS Pump and the speedo needs that. I feel that if you have a Max with TCS you should be able to get it to work as all I-35's have at least TCS and VDC was an optional upgrade. The speedo is driven by the ABS/TCS control unit which is found on the side of the ABS pump assembly below the master cylinder.

The cluster looks awesome and fits perfectly, a real improvement over the boring dimly lit Max speedo. I used to hate when I drove my wifes RX300 and looked at how nice and bright her instrument cluster was, now mine looks just as good. Once I get the speedometer working I will let you know what it took.
Let me know if you have any questions.
