Hello guys

Recently ive been noticing that when my car gets to the 3000 miles oil change my engine starts knocking after i let go of gas... now i did get the timing advanced to 17 degress but i had no problems till recently. Also its starts knocking only after the engine has warmed up. My car is not throwing any codes so its not the Knock sensor... my guess is engine is losing oil.. im going to dealer tomorrow to see if if they can tell me if my engine is burning up oil...

Can it be anything else....?

you could check the oil level yourself. it is a normal occurence for a small amount to be burned off but nothing major. have you noticed any smoking coming from the muffler? i am also assuming since you advanced the timing that you are using the highest octane available to you besides race gas. a knock sensor code will not trip the cel but will store itself if you were to pull the codes.
